Use Fruits for Your Snacks

If you are trying to lose weight and sticking to a 1200 calorie diet, you know how hard it can be to take care of your cravings for sweets. While a piece of candy may not have a lot of fat in it, the empty calories are not good when you are limiting your food. They really are not good for you at any time, but especially when dieting. If you find yourself craving something sweet, grab a piece of fruit. They have a natural sugar in them, but also have other vitamins and minerals that are god for you.

You can eat your fruit raw, frozen or dehydrated. If you also have a need for your snacks to crunch, dry slices in your oven and eat the chips. They will not be salty, but will be sweet and crisp. Most fruit has fewer than 100 calories in an average sized piece. Berries are different, eat a cupful when on a 1200 calorie diet for a good snack.
